Changing Your Facebook Page Name

In business, change is a part of life. If you’ve gone through a rebranding, acquisition, or just an update and changed your company’s name, you need to make sure that all of your listings and accounts on the Internet are consistent.

If you are an admin on your company’s Facebook page, there are just a few steps to making this change on Facebook.

  1. Sign into Facebook and access your company page’s Admin Panel.
  2. At the top of the page, click on the Edit Page dropdown menu and choose Update Info.
  3. Click the Request Change link next to your company page’s current name. This will prompt you to switch to using Facebook as yourself.
  4. On the next screen, you can enter your new company name and then choose the reason for the change from a drop-down menu.

You may also upload documentation to support the name change and speed up the process, but note that logos, websites, and business cards are not acceptable documentation.

That’s all there is to it! The change may take some time to take effect, depending on the documentation you uploaded in the last step.
